The short answer is: Yes! While there are certainly traits and jurisdictions that are unique to each profession, there is also a place where these two can blend into an incredibly well-rounded approach to human recovery and performance. Typically, the focus in outpatient physical therapy is on addressing the acute injury or loss of function. It is a short-term, medical intervention designed to address the issue, and help people return to their prior level of function. Personal training utilizes individualized training to help people reach specific health and fitness goals. Our goal is to be able to guide people from start to finish from wherever their starting place is, including the medically complex, the injury-prone, and those who are new to exercise. We'll be providing physical therapy assessment and services with individualized training services and instruction.
We do not. This is a cash-based, self-pay with direct payment for services. This allows for personalized session without insurance-imposed limits on treatment, as well as options that are cheaper than insurance-billed rates.
There is no referral needed for the first 30 days for physical therapy. South Carolina law permits “direct access” so a patient can see a licensed physical therapist and begin treatment without a physician or other provider referral. Before those 30 days are up, we can send your PT Evaluation to your MD to sign off on your plan of care if further medical PT treatment is needed, but the goal would be to transition to personal training services which does not require a referral.
There are bundle and a la cart options. This can include but not limited to:

One-on-one instruction, either in home or the setting of your choice
Virtual option upon preference
Unlimited access via phone call or text for questions, concerns, and clarification
Accountability and encouragement
